A very effective teaser trailer that uses inter-titles to build the structure of the '1, 2, 3' countdown to the dramatic "I'm next!" that leaves the audience on a cliffhanger. The narrative is drawn clearly and crisply. Sound is used extremely well to build suspense: clock ticking, heart beating, pulsing sounds. Excellent title with dripping, connoting blood flowing.
ReplyDeleteA convincing trailer that uses genre conventions confidently. Sophisticated editing from the slick production company ident to the eye-catching title 111 DAYS.
ReplyDeleteExcellent camerawork with a wide variety of shot types, angles and framing that fit the thriller / crime drama genre, such as fish eye, constrained framing, use of reflective surfaces to suggest surveillance. Excellent editing that sweeps the audience through the narrative arc, showing each stage of the net closing in, building to a big question: is Jack the next victim or a manipulative teenager? Excellent use of Foley sounds, voiceover and diegetic sounds.
