I hope that what you are concluding from your analyses of trailers, such as this one, is how editing - both sound and vision editing - hooks the audience though a carefully structured offering of compelling narrative that build to an irresistible cliff edge. Key to success is the clear signalling of genre (here, the menace, threat and peril of thriller film techniques) but the offering of a USP (what makes this film have something fresh to offer). I would focus on this rather than on textual analysis.
